- Who is that guy in the post-credit scene? Is that Norman Osborn? Yes, it’s not Willem Dafoe but it really sounded just like him. And no, I have no idea about what’s in the comics.
- In Sam Raimi’s Spiderman Trilogy, the man who killed Uncle Ben was later on revealed as the Sandman. In this…
I guess there will be the green goblin in the second movie. If you’re not familiar with the comics and don’t want to be either, then don’t read along:
The Green Goblin has to be the next villain because he kills Gwen Stacy in the comics. That’s how Mary-Jane and Peter come together.
Oh god! That’s just really depressing! I don’t wanna see Gwen Stacy die! I mean, Gwen and Peter are perfect for each other. I ship them, in a way. LOL. So, you are certain that the man with Dr. Connors inside the cell is Norman, yes?
So, uh, what do you think?
It is Friday (yeah!) and this is one of the days that I’ve been actually waiting for since last year. Yes people, today is the day The Amazing Spiderman is released in the Philippines.
Luckily, I only have one class, a 1 PM to 2:30 PM class. I actually thought of missing that class because of the movie schedule that I reserved. I purchased one ticket (I am such a forever alone guy, I know) for the 4 PM screening of The Amazing Spiderman at IMAX Mall of Asia. I feared that I might not make it in time if I’ll attend my class. Good thing, the traffic was not that bad during that time so I kinda arrived on time for the movie. By the way, if you are wondering why I was so scared of the travelling time, well, that’s because I still come all the way from Laguna.
Oh well. I arrived at the theatre at around 4:05. I expected the movie to have started but hey, I forgot that I am in the Philippines, and as always, there will always be the effect of Filipino Time. I still got the time to buy my favorite milk tea from Gong Cha. So to say, the movie that was supposed to start at 4 PM started at around 4:20 PM.
The cinema is full! What would you expect? It is the first day of the one of the most anticipated movies of the year. I liked the vibe of this audience that I am with. So, the lights started to dim and man, The Dark Knight Rises trailer was freaking amazing in IMAX! I literally felt shivers down my spine! That just totally multiplied my excitement for that movie by epic proportions.
(Movie review is after the jump…)

And the scene after that. I mean, Gwen, Peter, and the song that plays in the background…
It’s just so perfect!

(Should’ve been Disney/Pixar’s Brave but it doesn’t spark much interest yet so I am still undecided if I’ll see it in IMAX 3D or not. I might not even see it at all.)
